Daniel Arnold's self-titled publication offers glimpses of the city that are at once familiar to every New Yorker yet rarely noticed in their daily life. Seemingly pedestrian moments become poetic when captured on film: the flight of a pigeon on a construction site, tourists snapping pictures of Times Square advertisements, a trompe l'oeil face mask on Forsyth Street. Arnold's camera provides a new perspective on New York life by paying attention to the people that make it interesting.
